Blue Ray Movies :Inside Man [Blu-ray] Review

Inside Man is not clear story of good and evil, even if it starts. Inside Man dares to be placed in the period 9-11 to show a group of terrorists in New York with a clear moral justification, perhaps even convincing, and whose motto is entirely possible, "We Will Never Forget."

Known criminal Dalton Russell (Clive Owen) that "Respect is the ultimate currency" and "If loving each other, should in reality the money is not important." Why? The giant "We Will NeverForget "banner stretches across the screen several times and is the subtext of this whole story. But if you do not understand that there are, the duality of flags, you do not understand what's happening in this film.

There are a lot more here as the first, at first glance. "Inside Man" is the film to another level, Heist, so naive, "terrorists" thrillers like "Die Hard" in the dust, go with the most ingenious plot Heist, period – a killer cast, Evaluation wonderful, fabulous CAMERA WORK(some mind-bending, high-budget crane shots – that make the movements look so easy, but I am not!), Mamet-grade crackling dialogue and a flash-forward distinctive editing style that really help viewers understand and is a trademark of Unique, hip style of the film, courtesy of director Spike Lee.

The "victim" is the bank chairman Arthur Case, played impeccably by Christopher Plummer and pleasing his father, a man with the Nazi genocide in its past. The head robber, carried"Perfection" by Clive Owen, who seek to get rich, but also show a crime against humanity. In a strange and unusual that is for us to be a hero and a thief. Jodie Foster as Madeleine White is the ever smiling fixer working for the bank president, is trying to ensure a good political outcome for their clients. Denzel Washington Detective Frazier the voices of people, just like the police to find out what is going to hell here in front of the head. And nobody has ever seem.

With an executive of the bank as philanthrophic central villain is perhaps lost in time, and IM as topical as when it was first published in 2005. I very much like Madeleine White as the mayor (and Arthur's case) of the skin – and the ultra-bit, where the characters suddenly once in the eyes of the public to change their show in an instant by the language of philanthropy by smart lobbyists geht's coercion.

As a Mandela, the layers of good andEvil, truth and lies, weaving, and on different levels. Like life, nothing is so simple and straightforward as it seems.

There are many ways to the events in this film would have turned to us. The timeline of the film is mostly linear, with the exception of "flash-forward, something solarized interviews hostage that position because they are used, a cross-function and break the action well. The interrogation of the former hostages are of enormous importance, because after all,In this way, the Bulls believe they break the case – to the inside man. But if the hostages were piled interviews at the end of the film, it would be too much at once and brought the film to stop at one.

Whether motivated by the characters, this film has a great sense of humor and irony, and most of it comes from the fact that the hostages humiliated and maltreated by robbers and the police. And 'in fact the police, the shootingRubber bullets for the hostages – the thief is not a blow out of their toy guns.

As a note, were the principal and design of the final title made it very beautiful, and in a rarity, the credits show all orchestral musicians by instrument. Nice.

Inside Man – absolutely brilliant, cool, dense coherent structure engaging, never beat a drop, brilliant!

Overview

Academy Award® winner† Denzel Washington, Academy Award® nominee†† Clive Owen and Academy Award® winnerº Jodie Foster star in this intense and explosive crime thriller. The perfect bank robbery quickly spirals into an unstable and deadly game of cat-and-mouse between a criminal mastermind (Owen), a determined detective (Washington), and a power broker with a hidden agenda (Foster). As the minutes tick by and the situation becomes increasingly tense, one wrong move could mean disaster for any one of them. From acclaimed director Spike Lee comes the edge-of-your-seat, action-packed thriller The Wall Street Journal calls “a heist film that’s right on the money.”

Specifications

Spike Lee scored his biggest hit to date with Inside Man, an unconventional thriller with fascinating details in the margins of its convoluted plot. The screenplay (by first-timer Russell Gerwitz) could’ve used a few more rewrites; it moves at a brisk pace but in hindsight a lot of it doesn’t make sense. That makes Inside Man more fun to watch than to think about afterwards (when you discover plot holes big enough to drive a truck through), but it’s curiously involving, especially as NYPD Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) struggles to outsmart a high-stakes bank robber (Clive Owen) who, along with a well-trained crew of accomplices, has seized control of a Wall Street bank, turning what initially looks like a hostage crisis into a personal crusade to expose some mysterious evil secrets. As you might expect from the director of Do the Right Thing, Lee seizes several satisfying opportunities to examine post-9/11 issues of racial prejudice and domestic terrorism, and the mysterious “problem solver” Madeline White (Jodie Foster), as eerily sinister as she is vaguely defined, is worthy of her own movie. With the benefit of his most stellar cast to date (including Christopher Plummer, Willem Dafoe and Chiwetel Ejiofor), Lee seems more interested in character details than well-crafted suspense, but that doesn’t stop Inside Man from being engrossing, subtly amusing, and quirky enough to qualify as a welcomed break from the formulaic thrillers that are Hollywood’s bread and butter.–Jeff Shannon

I had not seen this film in theaters, but pleasantly surprised by the story surprise. This is not a typical Heist / movie watcher, but adds some interesting elements in the mix. The strong performance by Jodie Foster, Clive Owen and Denzel Washington to further increase the action. If you like intelligent thriller with a story, you will not be disappointed

Technically, this is a strong version of 'clean video commercials or other contaminants, the colors are accurate and there are many detailsvisible, even in the darkest elements. The audio is also done with the dialogue clearly understood and some roundabouts Nice pans a strong track audio.

Extras are not abdundant, but what is there, I found very interesting deleted scenes and interviews / featurette.

Painful. Is this supposed to be a comedy? – Bradley F. Smith – Miami Beach, FL
Not laugh here. Only the cringe-worthy spectacle of 50-something looking for Alec Baldwin, romance a 21-year-old character. Not that is disturbing. It's just that there's no chemistry at all. The result is interesting in any way. If this film is a date, it is sufficient to encourage unmarried. If this is a comedy, someone forgot to laugh. So what is it? Bomb.

A Missmatch–Alec Baldwin Sarah M.Gellar – Steven J. Farinola – Pennsylvania–USA
This film is not a miracle, WA stupid ir a flop. Never put Alec Baldwin and Sarah M. Gellar in a film again – He's too old. It 'was amazing, it makes no sense. He would never fall in love with him.

Hope Melissa Bank got paid well for this! – jumpy1 – New York, NY
I loved the book and the screenplay does not disappoint, but has been deeply affected by the occupation of Mrs. Gellar, who have done their best to get out, but not just this character who is more disappointed that Carrie Bradshaw Buffy. For starters, she dressed in the clothes a la Nancy Botwin in Weeds, the clothes of women who have moved into their sensuous gaze (as Mary-Louise Parker), while SMG looks like a 30 year as a 50 year-old (who claims she was only 22 years!) Then it is not easyconvincing as someone who reads every day and fights for the authors. The total combined effect of the set, costumes and locations of this script and Buffy WAS creepy, as I have said many other guests. I just hope that Melissa Banks had some money from her, that was not their fault.

Awkward movie with zero romance – D. Munro – PA, USA
I was really happy to see this movie, glad that Sarah Michelle Gellar has hit the big screen once again. I found it interesting to see her opposite Alec Baldwin. To say this not to live up to my expectations, it would be an understatement.

Gellar plays Brett, a naive young woman who dreams of being an editor of great ha. Her friend fled to Europe without her, and returns as if nothing has changed. Alec Baldwin and Archie is an editor successfully the problems with alcohol,Together with his adult children.

Archie board takes under his wing, but the intention is clear – they want. He has albums of photos of young women, which has acquired during the years of … He is an expert in advertising younger women. He shows that this card as if it were a trophy.

What I found disturbing is that in many parts, Archie is condescending to his latest flame. It mocks Brett's certain phrases / expressions that have worked, as he speaks, and seems more teachersas a companion of love. He finds her repeatedly, cursing her, and repeatedly violated in different degrees. I wondered why this was presented as a novel. Yes, he needs help at times, but in those moments his reasons for helping her hand on the young adult women now continue to slide.

I like both actors … But it was a disappointment.

Blue Ray Movies :Capitalism: A Love Story [Blu-ray] Review

Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on February 22nd, 2010

This film is a fantastic and emotional masterpiece of the great filmmaker Michael Moore. This is an overwhelming indictment of how our increasingly flawed capitalist system is often used to) line the pockets of special interests (including major banks, and how real Americans are suffering as a byproduct of this. Lobbyists and special interests have hijacked Washington and whored to larger companies, and the two political parties of capitalism and the lines are blurredDifferences between them. It seems that true democracy is dying in America, and it does not matter if you vote for 'Tweedledum Tweedledee' o ' "(Repub or Dems) are. The rich are getting richer and safety at work (if you have a job since one ) fell into disuse, and our health system sustainable derailed, with millions to get the care they need to be excluded. It seems that America best years are behind us, and we must do something before the restThe desperation of the middle class is as obvious as those of our poor and forgotten in this country!

Overview

In presenting a “fireball of a movie that might change your life” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone), Moore “skewers both major political parties” (Claudia Puig, USA Today) for selling out the millions of people devastated by loss of homes and jobs to the interests of fat cat capitalists. Moore has “dug up some astonishing dirt” (Brian D. Johnson, Macleans), stories told in the faces of the foreclosed and evicted, in the food stamps received by hungry airline pilots, and in the courage of fired factory workers who refuse to go quietly. But more than a cry of despair, Moore’s film raises the possibility of hope. Capitalism: A Love Story is “The most American of films since the populist cinema of Frank Capra (It’s a Wonderful Life)” (Dan Siegel, Huffington Post ), “a movie that manages shrewdly, even brilliantly, to capitalize on the populist anger that has been sweeping the nation” (Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal ). Capitalism: A Love Story is loaded with over 80 minutes of bonus features and extended scenes, written and directed by Michael Moore!

Specifications

Michael Moore’s didactic documentary style is actually a source of inspiration in Capitalism: A Love Story. This film, which explores the history of incongruence between American capitalism and democracy, is evidently a culmination of Moore’s lifetime of research into this topic: he begins the movie by admitting his longstanding interest, rooted in childhood experiences in Flint, Michigan. As a result, the film displays an expertise that is less irritating than in Moore’s earlier works, in which various loopholes can be found in one-sided presentations (see Bowling for Columbine). Here Moore employs his trademark tactics to make a satirical documentary that functions as a film-based, grassroots political strategy meant to provoke revolt. Consisting of patched-together clips from various eras and media outlets, the film weaves a narrative that underscores Moore’s argument that while America is a success because of its democracy, it has been denigrated by capitalism, which he calls “a system of taking and giving, mostly taking.” Capitalism: A Love Story is a patriotic call to arms that seeks to ignite rage in the viewer who is tired of political stupidity resulting in poverty and hardship among a dwindling middle class. It begins by tracing the growing gap between the rich and poor, from the Depression through the 1950s “free enterprise” boom. Using clips of FDR and Jimmy Carter warning against greed and inequality, Moore shows how gradually Americans came to accept Reaganomics, corporate corruption, then Bush-era swindling over time. This history serves as context for his explanation of the housing crisis, the collapse of banks, and Bush’s covert, last-ditch efforts to pass sketchy bills on the cusp of Obama’s election. Moore asks several lawyers, senators, and bankers, “What the **** happened?” and each offers intelligent assessments of situations that many American viewers still struggle to comprehend. Unfortunately, there are corny Moore moments throughout the film, such as when he takes an armored truck to various banking headquarters and harasses security guards to let him in to reclaim money stolen from the American public. Clips of Bush dancing juxtaposed with shots of people crying because they’ve lost their homes are melodramatic and only weaken Moore’s arguments. Like Robin Hood, Moore seeks justice, but his greatest strength is as a translator between those speaking a complex political language and his viewers. Capitalism: A Love Story, while it does have a condescending tone throughout, does much to relay a complicated history that we all need to know for the sake of our own empowerment. –Trinie Dalton

Proud of Michael Moore’s Quest to Take on the Big Banks – Gayle Tiller – San Jose, CA
I am a big fan of Michael Moore. In his latest film, Michael Moore Attacks the foreclosure crisis shows the families who have lost their homes because their mortgages soared. The banks are ruthless and take care not to destroy the lives of people. All they want is to take advantage of the misfortunes of others. It is a sad commentary on the state of America. I had my tears.

Michael Moore has done in his quest hilarious citizen arrests of CEOs of large banks. And IComment by Ohio's courageous member Marcy Kaptur. Congresswoman Kaptur represents the common person in America and I was so proud for her.

Finally, Michael Moore has shown the power to organize the community. We as humans can relate to a real change in our country. All in all, the film is about your "must see" list that you want to add it.

This movie is absolutely wonderful – Joseph Wronka – Amherst, MA USA
This film is absolutely wonderful. It's funny from beginning to end, but "pleasantly heavy (" at the same time we note the paradox). It 'really a shame that this film does not get the recognition it should have been. More and more people should see. Opens our minds and our hearts to the fact that capitalism is the end all. Directly in front of our eyes, "capitalism", so that profit is more important than human beings. How can it be? It is important for thosegain or surgery will be required to give a sick child? The focus of Moore's basic Judeo-Christian, Islamic values, ultimately, that the tasks to do each other and "things to stress without these," remarkable and refreshing. It is as if the basic spiritual wisdom has been lost. What luck! It 'a movie very touching, especially towards the end, when President Roosevelt's famous Four Freedoms speech. In the middle of the 20th Century, the United States for examplemoral leader. What happened? This film will definitely give us something to think about.

Excellent message, wrong messenger – D. Jones –
Excellent message about the dangers of capitalism, and the victims of excessive, out of control for profit. I just love how the conservatives are against the government until it comes to saving themselves.

But why is Michael Moore's ego forced him to himself at the center of each film. The entire project will lose credibility … and turns into a joke … what really hurts the film's message.

Has become a kind of Ralph Nader character changed –the right of the message, but an "I-gone-wild" messengers that hurts, what the director hopes to get, too.

Sun has seen this last night and really enjoyed it. Several interviews that do not really go where entertaing.Real, but still very pretty girl. Two solos. He asks if she masturbates and blushing, she admits to it.He then lures them to take off his clothes until his loincloth. (Cute) then asks if he wanted to give a demonstration, and she agrees and lifts her hipsremove them loincloth, and he says he can not to.she not just hand in their panties.I type sonofabich.Any could, as is the case, and suddenly, it was still very beautiful and then, after 'd Gone to Heaven and you have to remove the object that you have all attention.Maybe was better to look that way, because the next exhibition was only the girl naked before the start of their journey to heaven. The camera was showing a very conservative at the end much.Butall came into view. It was clear that was not intentionally done that way because some of the movies too.I GGW dowm and dirty can understand Gung Ho, and others almost visually strident another scene, he betrayed a young girl running through the hallway naked cleaner doors.Well way and knocked one over it.I have a lot of fun out of it. It would be five stars if the camera has been taken at times better.

Blue Ray Movies :Wizard of Oz (1939) (Dub Sub) [Blu-ray] Review

Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on February 20th, 2010

Overview

When it was released during Hollywood’s golden year of 1939, The Wizard of Oz didn’t start out as the perennial classic it has since become. The film did respectable business, but it wasn’t until its debut on television that this family favorite saw its popularity soar. And while Oz‘s TV broadcasts are now controlled by media mogul Ted Turner (who owns the rights), the advent of home video has made this lively musical a mainstay in the staple diet of great American films. Young Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland), her dog, Toto, and her three companions on the yellow brick road to Oz–the Tin Man (Jack Haley), the Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), and the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger)–have become pop-culture icons and central figures in the legacy of fantasy for children. As the Wicked Witch who covets Dorothy’s enchanted ruby slippers, Margaret Hamilton has had the singular honor of scaring the wits out of children for more than six decades. The film’s still as fresh, frightening, and funny as it was when first released. It may take some liberal detours from the original story by L. Frank Baum, but it’s loyal to the Baum legacy while charting its own course as a spectacular film. Shot in glorious Technicolor, befitting its dynamic production design (Munchkinland alone is a psychedelic explosion of color and decor), The Wizard of Oz may not appeal to every taste as the years go by, but it’s required viewing for kids of all ages. –Jeff Shannon

DVD features
The Wizard of Oz DVD released in 1999 was loaded with extra features, but it’s now safe to throw away that version in all its cardboard-package glory in favor of this new two-disc edition. First things first: All the bonus material from the earlier disc is there (with one small exception). That includes the Angela Lansbury-hosted documentary The Making of a Movie Classic; the outtakes and deleted scenes, including Judy Garland’s “Over the Rainbow” reprise and the home-movie recording of “The Jitterbug”; the sketches and stills and composer Harold Arlen’s home movies; the audio underscores and radio programs; the 1979 interviews with Margaret Hamilton, Ray Bolger, and Jack Haley; and other items too numerous to mention. (Some text introductions to the features have been replaced by narration by Lansbury, for whatever reason.) Brand-new to the 2005 edition is a sharp restoration using Warner’s Ultra Resolution process and an accompanying featurette on how it’s done. The technicians also discuss how the sound was remixed, though that would have been more effective had it included surround-sound demonstrations (the featurette is in 2.0). Other features on the new set include a commentary track by critic John Fricke supplemented by vintage cast interviews (he offers a lot of trivia, and debunks the myth that Shirley Temple was ever close to getting the Dorothy role); profiles of nine cast members and clips of other movies they appeared in (including Toto); a lightly animated 10-minute storybook again narrated by Lansbury; 2001 and 2005 behind-the-scenes featurettes; and a 1950 Lux Radio Theater broadcast. Oh, and if you were still wondering about the missing material mentioned above–the 1999 disc included one-minute excerpts of three early treatments of The Wizard of Oz. Those excerpts are not included in the two-disc special edition, but the third disc of the three-disc collector’s edition includes the complete versions of those treatments and more. –David Horiuchi

Blue Ray Movies :Waltz with Bashir [Blu-ray] Review

"Waltz With Bashir" is one of the great recent examples of how animation can be used not only as a means of entertainment for children, but as half serious films that can have a big impact. It is itself an anti-war film, without shame, that's because the director has lived and survived in 1982 invasion of Lebanon by Israel, participated in it and had to do, saying that through his memories and talents . Some go nuts here bashing the film as "anti-Israel", was struck by a filmpresent a realistic portrait of a certain imaginary honest politician, they want to keep alive as statist supporters. However, "Waltz With Bashir is not only Israel and the war in general, about the experience of war and the brutal reality of violence. As a film has to do deeper and more intelligent to say typical Gung Ho works like" Band of Brothers "or the recent" The Hurt Locker. "

The film features director Ari Folman research for his memoirsthe war in Lebanon and in particular the massacres of Sabra and Shatila massacre, a brutal massacre of Palestinian civilians by Nazi-inspired Christian Phalange sustained on examination by the leaders of Israel of the Falange, Bashir Gemayal was a potential ruler of the puppet tries to Israelis Read the installation (for a detailed account of the war and the assassination of Bashir Gemayal, brilliant book that Robert Fisk's "Pity the nation: the abduction of Lebanon"). Folman revistes old armyThe friends, the war and his memories of the night, Israeli troops fired rockets into the sky and say stood out as the Falange and butchers.

This is not the type of material you might immediately think, as material to be cartoons, but in the hands of Folman film is a masterpiece of animation medium. The images are sometimes disturbing and breathtaking in its depth and scope. Like the best movies, images sometimes say to express deep thoughts and not justDialogue or action. The beautiful music of Max Richter will help improve the movie hypnotic power. A tour of history Folman work by the brilliant documentary about mental landscapes, from questions of history and politics on issues of psychology and how memories and change. They manage to Folman also very human story, not to mention the involvement of large banners in the face. Politics and other issues that go all with a genuine sense of humanity.

One of the greatRealization of the "Waltz With Bashir" as explore their support about the war. There are moments, as surreal as "Apocalypse Now" and as honest and raw, like "Platoon by Oliver Stone." Folman makes big statements, but makes it easy to share experiences and what his soldiers during the invasion of Lebanon. Visions of war and death, sometimes startling in their clarity. As the great Israeli writer Uri Avnery and Gideon Levy, Folman not march in stepwith those who just want to glorify the state of Israel and each of their military operations, you create a mirror of the reality of violence and terror of war, because no matter what some people try to paint over it with heroism in war usually spiral in orgies of human corruption and chaos penalty. In the age of Gaza and Afghanistan, "Waltz With Bashir" is very important to say about the reality of the profession, the policy of war and the casualties requiringgeneral population. The end of the film is particularly moving experience that brings home the point.

"Waltz With Bashir," poses difficult questions, which is more than could be said of film typical in those days. It asks the audience, this is no doubt that disturbs the die hard supporters of Israel here and respond immediately to discuss the film with a complex role of the facts "or" History "instead of what to say Folman, or the accuracy what is Folmanexhibition (and it is right, even though Israeli scholarship on the topic) looks like. This is a war movie, because it is really about the war itself, is not just trying to tell a war. Folman is a work of truth and conscience, will make the test of time.

Waltz with Bashir presents an intriguing riddle: is a documentary still a documentary if it’s animated? Taking over where fact-based animations like Waking Life and Chicago 10 left off, Israel’s Ari Folman tries to wrap his head around 1982′s Lebanon War (the title refers to Lebanese leader Bashir Gemayel). Why do disturbing dreams plague his former army colleagues, while he remembers nothing? Folman meets with nine of them to find out. As they speak, animators recreate their experiences, but instead of rotoscoping or video-capture, Folman first shot his film on video and then assembled an animated version from the resulting storyboards. This graphic-novel approach suits their strange, surrealistic stories and parallels the work of Black Hole‘s Charles Burns, who tends to walk on the shadowy side (as opposed to Marjane Satrapi’s more fanciful Persepolis). War may be hell, but moments of grace and beauty shine through, best exemplified by Roni Dayag’s recollection of a late-night swim away from the scene of a beachfront battle. Decades later, he still remembers the soothing peacefulness of the water. These reminiscences nudge Folman’s repressed memories back to the surface, culminating in a horrific massacre to which he bore witness. Arguably, he didn’t need to include actual footage of the deceased when stylized graphics get the point across fine. If Waltz with Bashir isn’t a documentary in the conventional sense, it doesn’t resemble most animated efforts either. What matters more is the harrowing narrative he constructs from out of the minds of these haunted men. –Kathleen C. Fennessy

Waltz with Bashir? – Thomas C. Osborn – Southern Indiana
I was disappointed by this film. I had hoped for a clearer picture regarding the war between Israel and Lebanon. I thought this is just an exercise of purification of the soul. This too is bad. I do not see how this movie could be rated higher. I think that the PC-factor was that it was a kind of anti-Israeli. I've learned anything, it was already widely known.

Really quite a film – One-Line Film Reviews – Easton, MD
The Bottom Line:

An "animated documentary", which deals together so that most documents are not moved, Waltz with Bashir to offer, with different perspectives on the controversial 1982 war of Israel with Lebanon and a load of fascinating material in addition to beautiful images the Academy can go Folman film are impressive, but this does not mean you should.

3.5 / 4

An Animated Documentary? – B. Merritt – WWW.FILMREVIEWSTEW.COM, Pacific Grove, California United States
Waltz with Bashir is really a film in a class by itself. E 'in a very real sense, an animated documentary. What are the first raises the question: "Why?" Why film in an animated, rather than simply questioning soldiers directly and shows the reality of it on real people? This is the hump more difficult to overcome for most viewers. I know it was for me. I have often said, "God, I'd really like to see something in this area."

Some, in my opinion, should be madehide the true identities of those Israeli soldiers who might have been during the invasion of Lebanon in 1982 participated. And who can blame them. The disaster that is the Middle East is still in progress overnight.

The impression one gets is from the movie a dream (nightmare)-scape in which an Israeli soldier, his memories together (or lack of trying) in relation to his time of military service and his involvement in spare invasion of Lebanon . This is shown in muted yellow ISH –Colors, lava on the screen and gives the viewer the feeling that something is wrong. It is not. The soldier stuck here do not want something to remember, trying to make a positive spin (spin or absent) on, which certainly has a bloody mess. That was painful to see on an emotional level, because we knew that the reality is very different and far more brutal. A dream-scape is the narrator is plucked from a boat with a nice big, buxom woman shortly before the boatexplodes. One could only imagine the reality of what really happened.

Comparison between this film and Persepolis were also quickly made, how to put an animated autobiography and the other a documentary animation of war. Persepolis, but it characterizes himself as the better of the two has allowed for an important reason: Persepolis never allowed to be shot in Iran. Furthermore, it was a representation is very crude, with thick black and white drawings of the gravity of 'IranGovernment. While here, with Waltz With Bashir, the color often full with the narrator sitting around a table talking to someone about his war experiences. Took the story of a scan, if this has happened, which made it less fun.

Artistically speaking one can understand why director Ari Folman, the medium in which animated her story to choose (the dream sequences are a good example), but it seemed just a little 'forced, as if Ari had plannedsomething other than a good story that probably) (in my eyes, I would be more convincing if he had not talked about animation.

However, this is a film unique in the genre of animation. And one that many people might find funny. I thought it was just good.

Very funny, but Bleeps Bad bad words, ie one easy-to what the word bad is said. Offers no choice, without the beep beep, or play with the change of the property. I wish it would be a family friendly version. Otherwise, the material is very funny.

Not up to Val’s talents – Denise J. Murray –
The film begins with an overview and a reminder of Katrina has been devastating. The characters are not well designed, with the exception of Andy, and even then not to dig too deep in real time, who he is. It is extremely violent, and without the F bomb dialogue would be pretty sparse. It 'been a nightmare under control that the bands were painted on the city, which means that the agreement with police to try to maintain control is more than he could. With the kind of violence, gangs were involved in the film, have a strong statement against the disarming of citizens, if they used self-made. There was so much guilt in relation to the facts after Katrina contributed to the violence and despair of the citizens. Some of gratuitous violence, however, seems typical of Hollywood. I think Val Kilmer is the best we could what he had, but was not surely the height of his talent. Andy is a type of tragic character trying to live up to the imageto avenge the death of his father and with any package that appears to be at the expense of life. Sharon Stone was so-so, the rest was okay.
If you're Kilmer, get it. If you are in extreme violence and language, you will like.

BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD – Jason Cleveland –
I live in New Orleans, and I am a big fan of 50 cents, so I have this movie and it sucked! The movie didnot represent New Orleans, as it really, really is not even close. The history and products traded Garbage

One of the worst movies I’ve seen this year – z hayes – plano, texas
The only reason why I chose this film because some of the most famous names in it [Val Kilmer, Sharon Stone, Michael Biehn, not A-listers, but still], and also the fact that in the set following the hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. The film opens with shots Latest news from New Orleans after Katrina havoc on it. The story – a few months after Hurricane Katrina crippled New Orleans is a city of war on drugs has presented a group of policemen, two curves and well, and theFBI seeks to properly manage the city. Val Kilmer and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson to play the good cop, who strive to defend themselves against the bad cop. Michael Biehn plays an FBI agent who tried in action, and Sharon Stone is a police shrink, get in the mind of both good cop and bad.

Sounds pretty simple does not it? Well, there's so much wrong with this film that really eludes explanation – there is no specification of the characters in this film,The characters are all one-dimensional, good cops are good and bad cops are bad. The quality is below average, and Sharon Stone is completely wasted in his role as a boot and less annoying accent Cajun unbelievable the stairs and use them at will. Val Kilmer seems entirely convincing in his role, and only seems to be casting his lines without conviction at all [clock "Felon place for a great job as Kilmer], and" 50 Cent "to be simply seems lost.

The action appears to beonly by him, and violence is gratutious – there is simply no rhyme or reason to some of the scenes in this film. The work of the camera is terrible, inappropriate, with images that do nothing to help viewers figure in the plot. This would be a good example of what not to do in class film production! Oh, there is not any extra. Verdict – a terrible mess of a movie. I'm glad it was rented one. Skip it!

Blue Ray Movies :Step Up 2: The Streets [Blu-ray] Review

Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on February 17th, 2010

Okay, this new wave of dance gestures are a dime a dozen, and half of them are just mediocre job with a dance step impossible, after the next. When "Step Up" came out I was expecting anything from her, but I have a sensational and very, very big film that had a lot of heart and chemistry to keep him under the blows of trash teen dance movies. Really, You must see it! So I was excited about the prospects of "Step Up 2 The Streets", but after the trailer Ifeared, was about nothing more than a repetition of the same story with different actors.

So I waited.

I am pleased to say (so happy) and "Step Up 2 The Streets" is not the same story, even if there is something similar. Lacks the chemistry that made the original so appealing, but the actress, Briana Evigan, has a cheeky charm enough for Robert Hoffman's lack of everything (the type is a sort of gross disturbing here.)

Andie isAdolescents with no real purpose. His mother died when she was young and living with the best friend of her mother. It occurs at a crucial time when his relationship with the infamous 410 (a troupe of dancing) are two options, a prestigious dance school or Texas. Well, I live in Texas, so I understand why they opted for the school. She's not good (obviously), but finds herself flirting with danger even more if the school legend Chase Collins takes pleasure in Normandy, and his danceStyle, and convinces them to join him and lose a number of talented students still dancing in the streets to participate in the contest. Love developed feelings are trampled on, start rivalries … and dancing going on!

As I said, Evigan is great. E 'with a kick from the edge that keeps interesting and sensual smoker's voice is just, ugh, so Scarlett Johansson … loves me! Robert Hoffman is the opposite. He is charming and sweet and allamiable, but he is quite disturbing. The rest of the cast is really just a collection of bodies in motion, and all work in this direction. Miss Ventura is breathtaking to see if you are or moved in silence, I to her. Thomas Schwarz (yes, that's his name) is respected as the token gangster (very cliche, but what Danielle Polanco) and is quite convincing as the street smart and really sweet Missy.

But that is not to act, believe me.

TheDancing here is crazy, and the final scene of dance in the rain, it's just ugh, WOW … was so hot! Yes, I said hot, and I thought that as in all possible ways. I wanted to mention, Adam G. Sevan (who looks like "Year One" version of Michael Cera), which is the typical "nerd son who befriends the outcasts' here. I quote him because he's Michael Jackson inspired sequence of hazelnut in the end just phenomenal, and the most memorable part of the film.

So if you have aFun and funny film with lots of dancing, then this is the place for you. Has no factor of all "who had the original, but up for it in other areas.

See the two.

Step Up 2: The Streets is the hottest dance movie of the year! With awesome high-energy dancing, heated drama and pulse-pounding music, it’s guaranteed to blow your mind! When rebellious street dancer Andie teams up with a hot modern dancer, Chase, to compete in the biggest, toughest street dance-off ever, ‘The Streets,’ sparks fly both on and off the underground dance stage. With electrifying, exclusive dance bonus, you’ll want to see these moves again and again.

Specifications

When life throws you curveballs, lemons, or closed doors, there’s just one solution: Dance! Step Up 2 The Streets is a worthy entry into the inspirational dance-it-out film lexicon, with moves, choreography, and music that sometimes seem to defy even gravity. The spunky young heroine is Andie, played with sass and amazing dance talent by Briana Evigan (daughter of hardworking TV actor Greg Evigan). Andie’s from one of Baltimore’s grittiest neighborhoods, but her dance ability–forged in fire on the streets of Baltimore–lands her in a prestigious performing arts school, where she struggles to fit in even as her schoolmates are awed by her talent. With a nod to Love Story, our working-class heroine catches the eye of a privileged boy, Chase (Robert Hoffman), who’s captivated by Andie’s dance chops and genuine heart. Andie’s fierce sense of self helps ground the film. At one point she lectures Chase, “Look, the streets is about where you’re from. It’s not some school talent show. There’s no spring floors. There’s no spotlights!” But the true star of the film is its amazing dance sequences, and the talented cast works the moves for all they’re worth. The supercharged soundtrack features Plies (with Akon) and a couple of excellent Missy Elliott tracks. Ready? Hit it! –A.T. Hurley

A great dance flick – Donald L. Lewis – Rutherglen VA.
This was a good artistic talent of the dancers with a good story line.I loved every minute of this dance bands, and even my teenage children. We loved it! We recommend it.

Step Up 2 the Streets – Arnita D. Brown – USA
Step Up 2 the Streets is a wonderful movie. The dance is very cool. The characters were wonderful choice. This is a very good movie and I recommend it.

“Fame” redux generally falls flat – Roland E. Zwick – Valencia, Ca USA
With a script that does not get the vote of one to 101 in a cinema course Saddled, "Step Up 2 the Streets" is an urban fairy tale about an orphan crew dancer (Briana Evigan) from the 'Hood, "Welcome to the Maryland School of the arts. But can they find a home with the assortment of geeks, and classically trained dandies arty types who go to school? And you can be successful as a student, without turning its back "homies" from the old neighborhood? O will be forced toForm their own team of dancers from the school to compete with the big boys on the street?

You can write the script itself, but the key selling point of this sequel to "Step Up" – a sort of mash-up of "Fame," "Footloose" and "School of Rock" – is clearly not the stories, but the dancing. In this sense, deliver the goods. To ignore the plot predictable, the dialogue metal corny inspirational speeches, paper thin characters, assembly requiredSequences and the acting amateurish and simply Revel in trains, street dance, or otherwise, that permeate the film. Not much in the way of compensation, I know, but it's better than nothing.

Blue Ray Movies :The Office: Season Five [Blu-ray] Review

Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on February 17th, 2010

The Office is a great show, what we will see in season 32, if still air. This season has been great fun, with some great stories, and some of my favorite episodes, but saw a show that loses its orientation. For example (spoiler) the introduction of Holly was great, and the show was good and it was a great foil for Michael, funny, stupid, and very likeable. But after a couple of episodes is gone. Furthermore, you get the Andy / Dwight / Angela triangle love story, to get a climax of fun, but withouta real impact or consequences of these developments. The story ends without a whole lot just mentioned. Then we had one of my favorite stories that Michael Scott Paper Company, which ends as soon as he started. (End spoiler) I think the biggest problems in season 5, a lot of great ideas that have not been fully realized. That aside, the show is still very funny, and the melancholy of the season 4 is long gone. The show is great, and I hope to get season 6, is the show that the greatIdeas and really run with them, but was interrupted abruptly.

Overview

Scranton’s most outrageous workforce is back to give their clients the business in the fifth hilarious season of The Office. Join obnoxious regional manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and his fellow paper pushers Dwight (Rainn Wilson), Jim (John Krasinski), Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Ryan (B.J. Novak) as they steal customers, frame co-workers, indulge in intra-office love affairs and just plain behave badly while a documentary film crew captures their every word and misdeed. Developed for American television by Primetime Emmy® Award-winner Greg Daniels, The Office: Season Five features 26 uproarious episodes – including two one-hour specials, exclusive commentaries, webisodes, deleted scenes and more in a sidesplitting five-disc collection no true fan of The Office can afford to miss!

Specifications

Season Five is not just another day at The Office, delivering break-ups, corporate shake-ups, and a game-changing finale that, as with Jim (John Krasinski), should leave you ecstatic and speechless. The writers continue their masterful handling of the Jim and Pam (Jenna Fischer) romance, taking care of some unfinished business from last season’s finale in the season opener with a glorious rain-swept gas station proposal. Their initial separation–while she attends art school in New York–avoids the usual sitcom mechanics (“We are not that couple,” Jim states as he aborts a panicked trip to see her). The course of true love is no smoother for The Office‘s other soul mates, Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) and “major dork” Holly Flax (an Emmy-worthy Amy Ryan), the new HR rep. Meanwhile, Angela (Angela Kinsey) and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) are having office trysts under the nose of her fiancé, Andy (Hangover star Ed Helms, having a breakout season in a career year). On the corporate front, Michael shockingly quits after butting heads with no-nonsense new boss Charles Miner (Idris Elba). In a brilliant stroke, Jim immediately gets on Charles’s bad side, much to Dwight’s delight. The formation of The Michael Scott Paper Company is a highlight of the season, as Michael and his dream team, Pam and Ryan (B.J. Novak), improbably put a major dent in Dunder Mifflin’s sales (but at what cost?). For everyone who wonders how the blundering and tactless Michael keeps his job, it is instructive to get a glimpse of his sales acumen in the episodes “Heavy Competition,” in which Michael poaches one of Dwight’s clients, and “Broke,” in which he negotiates a buyout of his struggling company. The Office‘s own dream team got dreamier with the addition of Ellie Kemper as “Erin,” the adorable and naïve new receptionist. The Office still makes for cringe-worthy discomfort television (see a reunited Michael and Holly’s excruciating skit at the “Company Picnic” in the season finale), but some of the best episodes are the ones in which the Scranton branch bonds in the face of adversity. A season benchmark is the episode in which the former Michael Scott Paper Company office space is transformed into “Café Disco” and all squabbles and resentments are forgotten on the dance floor. This season is representative of why The Office is one of television’s most DVR’d series. Each episode offers priceless bits of background comic business and charming character grace notes that lend themselves to repeated viewing. Among them: Andy’s drunken late night phone call to Angela in “Company Trip”; Pam demonstrating her volleyball prowess in “Company Picnic”; Kelly (Mindy Kaling) setting up one of the series’ very best “that’s what she saids” in “Customer Survey”; and Andy and Kelly’s “dance off” in “Café Disco.” As Dwight notes in “Heavy Competition,” “There’s a lot going on” in The Office, and in that chaos, this series soars. –Donald Liebenson

Nice DVD set – Franco Comunale – New York, NY
The Office Season 5 has received a great deal if you want the TV series of Office. You've probably already seen these episodes on television on NBC or TBS or any local TV station has the air rights reserved. Not just to make sure you have seen or incidents and wants to DVD, or you have never seen in this first case and then decide for yourself if you want to have in your personal library.

Manufacturing Defect Discovered – Gary Pruiksma – Cold Spring, Kentucky USA
This review is for the Blu-ray. How to get straight to the point, I had a manufacturing defect in the episode entitled "surplus." Nowhere in any of the Amazon reviews, which are mostly DVD reviews, I saw someone refer to this issue. Approx 17:34 in contemplation of the sequence of a subtitle (calling angrily) appears on the screen. I managed also to other clients who have confirmed this discovery. I have the following e-mail to NBC / Universal, the28. January 2010:

To whom it may concern,

I have the Blu-ray of The Office: Season Five and 17:34 in contemplation of episode, called "The surplus, subtitle" (calling angrily) appears on the screen. I've never seen that happen throughout the episode the other, I need to see another disc four. Please tell me what was done to replace the disk and if it is an error-free product available to the public. If youare not in a position you can contact me directly to the person, who will? I appreciate any help to solve this problem. [End of e-mail]

NBC / Universal has not to this e-mail or two following e-mail I have not heard. I came back and got a full refund for this product. I do not please refer to this article, or at least not immediately to this defect, as then have the option, which must be repaid. It is possible that this error is small, but why notResponse to say NBC / Universal, which … 's? I would appreciate it if the buyer of the DVD format for the type of error should also be reviewed and post a comment in both cases. At 42 dollars, we should expect and receive a quality product. NBC / Universal did not give us, which seems to care.

Just keeps getting better – A. C. Ballam – Australia
This is the best time. Other strange things happen in the office, and Michael is as loop ever. Stops, starts his own accounting and kill again in the company. Jim and Pam even more, and I like the authenticity of their love story. It really looks like "Soul Mates". There are new, familiar faces and many jokes on this page to keep things going. Bring on Season 6!
