Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray Disc Player Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on July 24th, 2010
This Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray Disc Player participant is a perfectly fine participant for Blu-Ray discs. Would like to see an even more rapidly eject after power on. Present eject time is close to 5secs.
Time to totally load the menu is predictably lengthy and no greater than the older generation Samsung player it replaces the following (nearly 3min). Also a backlit remote would go a lengthy way in the direction of improvements.
Image high quality is on par with any other Blu-Ray participant except employing Regular Def DVD’s in which the image is worse than your more mature upconverting regular DVD footballer.
That flaw is possibly the cause for only 4 stars but only the Oppo participant is worth the extra price if you want a far better image the following. I like the truth that pause in fact will leave it on pause for a extended time unlike my more mature Samsung Blu-Ray which after 5min essential a full restart.
There is no Netflix or other streaming features but at close to $120. Given that this is my second Blu-Ray player, I do not assume it to last any longer than 2 years which is why spending the least volume tends to make sense. With that becoming mentioned, I bought a Panasonic unit because I believe it is far better than Sony. (more…)
Samsung BD-C6900 Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on July 24th, 2010
I bought this Samsung BD-C6900 1080p 3D Blu-ray Disc Player along with the Samsung UN55C8000 Tv and they perform really well together. Setting, such as the wireless world wide web entry, was a snap. The integrated apps and the apps obtainable for download are valuable, specifically Netflix given that we had been previously a client.
Samsung promises a great deal a lot more apps by the finish of the year. I did have a trouble with it accepting a YouTube account. It did at first, and instantly brought up the favorites previously saved on YouTube. However, following a reboot it would no longer acknowledge the account info, even though it does still entry YouTube ok, and I can save favorites utilizing the footballer.
It did acknowledge our Netflix and Pandora account information without having a trouble. The participant has a nice layout, with blue accent lighting that you can turn off if desired. It is also small and light and is very unobtrusive amongst my other components; when the accent lighting is off you hardly even discover it is there. When it is powered on or a DVD is inserted it automatically changes the Tv input to the HDMI port the participant is hooked up to.
I have an HDMI switching AVR, but it does not pass HDMI 1.4 so I connect the DVD footballer directly to the Tv although the rest of my sources go by way of the AVR. I send the players optical seem output to the AVR so I can use the 7.1 surround seem set up. The footballer also has discrete analog audio outputs for all (more…)

Wish I could give 0 Stars – Mitchell Lieberman – Long Island, NY
I bought this book when it is $ 499. I waited months for the firmware updates. Sometimes the machine is stuck on standby and start costume. Sometimes it is used to expel. It is sometimes used to play. And almost always stops in the middle of the film. A piece of useless garbage. Sharp website for firmware updates for the BD-HP20-mode is a dead link. Dont respond to e-mail for support. Do not throw away your money. This is the lowest piece of shit I've ever heard. I would never "downgraded" toBlue Ray. Never had these problems on a standard DVD player.
HORRIBLE player – will not play most Blue Rays and requires updates ALL THE TIME. – FrustratedWithSharp – Wyoming, United States
This is by far the worst blue ray market. Buyer beware. Do not believe me? Google "problems BDHP20U" and see how many pop-up forum. Sharp technical support is useless. Tu e-mail, return your e-mail they say need to call technical support. It's called tech support and you receive one of two responses: 1) Please pay attention to the player to an authorized repair shop or send 2), you can not make changes or maintenance of these players, "one way or 'else, you're out of luck. We ended up sendingto an authorized repair shop. Is still broken, with the exact same problem with a piece of paper all Blu Ray, have tried (including our "Wanted", which have not yet played in the player) has worked well. So now we have a useless, expensive, DVD Player …. to replace our perfectly functioning DVD player free. Great Picture But Completely Behind the 8 Ball – Aaron de Zafra – Mill Valley, CA USA
This is a review for the Sharp BD-HP20 (not the 20U although I'm sure that they are closely related). I bought the Blu-Ray player directly to the downfall of HD-DVD and I was (initially very enthusiastic about my purchase, although I believe that HD-DVD was better … but hey … some of us had its Betamax is not it?). At the end of the day, but I think there is much more superior product than what Sharp is there are here. Rather than writing a long diatribe, I simply sumI like things and defects of this equipment in bullet form below and then close with a final thought. I hope this will be useful as the person that has been updated for several years, providing his review (awesome job by the way … very enlightening!). So, without further adieu:
I like:
* Aesthetics Grande, especially compared to other brands (love the blue "or" on the forehead, when a disk is in)
* Great picture – if it works. Blu-Ray is really amazing to see a goodTV / Monitor
* Great Sound quality – if it works.
Dislikes:
* Do not play all Blu-Ray and requires constant updates to the firmware to do. This is not unusual, but this DVD player is an Ethernet port, so you do it via USB – if it works.
* Not often seem to recognize the USB drive (Mac or PC) when you try to update the firmware. That's why I hate this car, as happened to me, and now I'm down with the software of a machine2007 I have tried everything.
* It takes forever to load and play (perhaps this was the correct model BP vs HP20U) Mine
In all, I would recommend that you chose a different brand. For all the nominations received this case, it is interesting to note that this is only 3 stars. A quick examination of the most recent revision is a star 1-1 star to 1 star. This is not accidental. What would be spending $ 200 + for a machine that no less than a car from $ 150 +, and requires that all the firmware updates via USBUnlike on the Internet. I am very disappointed with me now as I have a multi-hundred-dollar paperweight I'm on my hands. I can not even pawn off my parents, since they do not work consistently.
Sharp sorry … better luck next time.

This is by far the worst Blu Ray I have ever used. It can play 30% of my collection, and perhaps 10% of modern films, even with the "Firmware Update". What a joke. So much for the year of entertainment such as according to the manufacturer. If not play, loading time is ridiculous. I stand by my PS3.

Review Blue Ray Player Samsung BD-P4600 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on February 05th, 2010Blue Ray Player Samsung BD-P4600

this thing rocks. it's great looking. Reg and DVD upscaling, so look much better. I have connected the wifi yet, so no position to take. The price that I paid $ 215, it was not much more) to sony model Costco ($ 179 plus tax non-Netflix, Pandora, etc, are provided, nor has it done, wi-fi. This was also the LAN reader.
Negatives: As others have said: With its slim design, is a bit 'boring connecting the wires. In addition, the device is loading a page. This means that it is reallydoes not fit into a standard rack equipment. Yes, you can mount on the wall or place it at the beginning of something. Given the bad luck of something: the thing always seems dusty.
In any case, i love it.

Love This Unit – Luan T. Nguyen – Midwest
I have for this device as a Christmas present. I did a search first and I knew it was perfect for my entertainment system from Samsung. The BD-Live works wonder when I connect it via HDMI. Wireless internet was a breeze, and I can update all the firmware for the streaming of Netflix, YouTube, Blockbuster, and Pandora. So far everything is working, what is great and amazing quality.
Wireless did not work!! – R. D. Holmes – Seattle
According to a recent enlistee with Netflix, I could not wait for the creation of a machine a "Netflix ready" to see the benefits of immediate opportunity to pursue. The BD-P4600 has been with the wireless networking function I was looking for (computer too far away to a cable connection), will be published. So I hooked in accordance with the instructions and everything seemed to work until I tried setting the threshold of power to the wireless network. Option was "gray" and not selectable. I spoke withSamsung's engineers tried a couple of times, their proposals, but without success. I tested the device back and ask for a replacement, but the only option was a refund through which it will be "out of stock". I now wait about 4 weeks for a refund. In the meantime, I think we will go to Fry's for comparable units and when there is a problem once again, at least I had the chance to talk to someone in the store and replace, if necessary, new / an immediate basis.
Sleek, Stylish and heartbreaking – Film fan – Massachusetts
I was excited about this product two weeks after installation without problems at all. The WiFi worked perfectly, the image quality and ease of use all I could hope for, and is a very elegant car. And then the wifi stopped working, I spent countless hours on the phone with 'technical' to me through a series of tests conducted no results. I sent in for repair (there is a suspicion that the board unit that was hit), and that would allow mesend only the player without the other. There was even less useful than before. So now I have a very good Blu-ray, which I love, but no wifi, no downloading Netflix, no luck.
Samsung is WiFi-ready for prime time.

Slowwwww! – Jay – Neenah, WI
Like everyone else said, this drive is slow. But if they did not notice, here's a review for you. I could not know how long it takes for the power of delusion, their slow response to the remote and read a DVD.
I have a Harmony remote with a "Movie Time" of activity. I press my button, the TV and receiver to appear, the lights go out and … … … … We sit in the dark for 2 + minutes. Really strange …
Wow, slow, and so bad!!! – Glen Abel –

The Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray palyer has done a great job changing the playback of Blu-ray and DVD's Up. The price was very reasonable, given the history of the volume of Blu-ray. The only issues I have focused on the remote control is not an "open / close" function and the inability to stream Netflix. Otherwise, the player has a great job.

Sony Blu-ray BDP-S360 wins the prize! – mommomginny – PA
I was studying options for ads and Web week. These Blu-ray was chosen because of price and because it is a product of Sony. I have a weakness for Sony products. It works as advertised. Met a lot. Amazon delivered, as I was told. Great product!
Motor sound annoying – purring sound – W. Hernandez – San Rafael, CA
This has played big, beautiful pictures and upscaling, great remote. However, you can hear the engine during the quiet parts of the film. Sounds like a cat purring on and from 10 feet away, even with headphones. Also, depending on the material, the drive spinning a loud noise, such as mosquitoes. Sony called and they said they were attracted to reset. They said they never heard of these problems and still people complain of the noise in his forum. Resetting did not help. Perform aSearch by purring on this device and see. Obviously, we live with it. Absolutely unacceptable. I took it again, but I have a Toshiba bdx2000 that, although I can hear it hum, is not disruptive. Bad processing of this product from Sony and surprising.
Sony Blue Ray – M. Breier –
Not much, I can not do a good job of rating it. The picture is good, but the sound stinks. It is probably due to the speakers on my new Sony 40 inch KDL VE5 that speakers really bad. Can not blame it on Blu-ray, because only with what the work-related.
Great Blu-Ray for the price – Laura M – Boston, MA
I was one of the first Blu-ray, and even if the quality is phenomenal, it was loading really slow. We did this for our second TV, but ended up in the living room as it was loading so much faster. Great value!

Review Blue Ray Player Pioneer BDP-120 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on January 30th, 2010Blue Ray Player Pioneer BDP-120

I bought this as the BDP-121, a player is identical to the 120 sold in Canada and the United States are from stock, for $ 150 from CompUSA.com. Do not come with a reader 121 for 1 GB of flash. He refused to play until 11/24/09 Pioneer 120/121 firmware update for Disney's Snow White BD, but now it does. But I'm still problems of access to Disney's BD-Live player, although I read Warner, Paramount and Sony BD-Live. (Each requires separate registration from the way in which it could be.) PresentDisney is a problem. For me, there's little to complain about the 120/121. The remote control is 50% longer than most, but everything works as it should. The BDP-120 for sale here, a 1 GB flash memory stick required, which will be BD-Live. If you need to update the firmware, available here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/HomeEntertainment/Blu-rayDisc+DVD/PioneerBlu-rayDiscPlayers/ci.BDP-120.Kuro?tab=F

PIONEER… is the best. – Casey D. Krull – Enumclaw, WA USA
I read all the reviews of others and has come to my conclusion … I just wanted to Pioneer:) I used a lot lately. Terminator Salvation, The Dark Knight, T2, Superman, The Last Starfighter … All AMA-ZA-ZING in Blu-Ray!
The player itself is a breeze. Getting set-up is very simple. The tray will not open when opening bell … It opens well:) The keys are not fragile … are the buttons), and the lighting is quite good … I can read everything easily. The conrollercould be a zoom … but that is all, otherwise it is easy to use and operates automatically on the screen. Some Blu-ray is just start up, but like most of the players … It takes a while;) T2 Blu-ray will begin as soon as my normal DVD … ssshhhhhhhhhhh … It 'a secret;) Sun Aall in all … This Pioneer Blu-ray is awesome!
Dose what I want well. Neat looking player – CJess “gadget guy” – Ky USA
I think this is a really nice looking player, is the dose that I want and that is really good product, great HD picture, starting with a few bells and whistles for a good price.
A nice player I am pleased with – Charles & Ingrid –
The BR is a good player, he said. Sure to change the setting to 1080 if you have an HDTV. Out of the box is set for 480th resolution standard TV. Very simple, the menus and change immediately. Standard DVD is even better. Phonetically, I do not know as it sounds, because my high-end speakers in the tower are only at the moment because of a small child brought home. Are only some small bookshelf speakers, for the moment. I could judge better if Ihas been with the towers. The menus are easy to navigate and Blu-rays look great. I would buy this player again without hesitation.

Won’t play newer blu-ray discs. – Decolliber – USA
I have two of these units, if it is) for the first time (2007?. Firmware updates (via network connection), but now I usually play all the new Blu-ray (as "Bruno" and "Taking Woodstock") . No problem, great playing Blu-ray. Samsung does not respond to e-mail. I will never buy Samsung again.
Update: Samsung via e-mail to me, I suggest you set the device (which I had done several times) or simply wait for the next update!
This device is NOT worth the packaging – Adam L. Stanley – Chicago, IL
I have had nothing but problems with this unit since I bought it and that will only get worse with time. I was finally able to get a firmware update from Samsung for 1400, will, after months, not in a position to something new. Now that I've upgraded the firmware, do not watch anything I CAN, OLD! I just upgrade the firmware 090,803 and are only able to play Blu-Ray. Everything else will be spat out as not carried out. Even if it works, it takes forever to load movies and oftenjust not in the middle of a movie. DO NOT BUY this unit. From what I've read, it is better to buy a single PS3.
Avoid! Waste of money! – Laura – Chicago, IL
I had this player for about 18 months and wish I had never bought. It brought me nothing but headaches. BR discs load sloooooowly really, if not entirely. Then, when playing the disc and not jump more frequently. The firmware update is impossible to play and still not be the disc! I tried for an hour to play tonight Drag Me to Hell and will not play. The firmware is up-to-date, but it always says "Loading". Never does. I had this problem, hoping that a firmware –Upgrade would help. Has taken the biggest waste of money. Avoid this product at any price!
firmware update doesent work – L. Hernandez – ca
Do not buy this player, upgrade the firmware from 9/28/09 Incorrect loading / playback of Blu-ray is not all the work of film on players. I tried to see "The Unit Season 4 Blu-ray and wont play now turn. Samsung does not have a date when the new firmware is avaialbe solve this frustrating problem.

Review Blue Ray Player Sony BDP-S360
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on January 24th, 2010Blue Ray Player Sony BDP-S360

This is a very good player. I paid much more for her, and she is now here at Amazon for about $ 122.00. It does a good job with Blu-Ray, as you would expect to see that Sony is the inventor. In addition, up-converts your standard DVD quality to near 1080, and (not Blu-Ray quality). I would recommend it to anyone who wants a player to their collections of DVDs and Blu-ray, particularly at lower prices. It also has the ability to connect to the Internet withBD-function of some Blu-ray. You need a provider of high-speed Internet, of course. This is just one more feature that you will not find on many players, or at that price.
- Blu-ray Disc player with Full HD 1080p output for Blu-ray Discs and upconversion of standard DVD video to 1080p
- BD Live capable for accessing bonus content from BD-Live Blu-ray Discs via Ethernet port connected to your home network
- 24p True Cinema capable lets you watch films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second); Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD
- Outputs: 1 HDMI, 1 component, 1 composite, 1 analog audio (2-channel), 1 digital optical audio, 1 digital coaxial audio, 1 Ethernet
- Includes remote control and composite AV cable; measures 16.9 x 8.1 x 2.2 inches (WxDxH)

Great blu-ray player – L. Olsen – SE AZ
Very pleased with the initial benefit of this player and the price of Amazon and dealing with this purchase. If I have complaints, should use the small print in the manual operation of the player.
excellent product – Nitram – SFO
OMG this is the best, and also makes movies look better with a regular feature Upconvert.
Very Good Value – David A. Edelstein – California
Strengths: good price, small footprint, very good picture on both Blu-ray and standard DVD, the remote also works on TV I connected Toshiba player, connected to the router and automatically updated firmware
Weaknesses: takes a while 'loading Blu-ray when using power saving mode, but quickly load the DVD, not as many features as more expensive models; HDMI cable must be purchased separately
Overall: very good price –
