some action – Markku Pihlajaniemi – Finland
This is certainly not get the masterpiece of high quality Oscars and other awards …. but 100% of action with some good fighters.
Surprisingly Good for the MMA Movie Genre – Alexander M. Walker – Chicago, IL USA
Even if they are prepared to regret when a new film sponsored by a militant organization makes its way to moan JustPressPlay door. Either on DVD or Blu-ray is rarely a difference, since it is often done little more than Circle Jerks, to combat the built-in public supporters, nothing is consumed until the subsidiary scenes of violence, brutal and capitalize offer few "Did you see that?" Moments. For this reason, I rue these films. Peerlessmakes me rethink the idea, or at least modify it. This film shows quite well in HD, so time spent on the basic plot and character, why not fly into the ring with his fists.
Ringo Duran (Hector Echavarria) became known as a perennial loser, a fighter by far the best years of his. However, it is an undeserved title as the beginning of the film shows that make the control of Mr Ringo approach to his fights in the cage was often the victim of hunters intentnegligent abuse of the referee. Our first meeting in the movie to love Forrest Griffin (character), the destruction of the life of Ringo always face with a piece of metal hidden in his fist. Ringo honesty compounds only other fighting probably the most direct obstacle to his success: His left arm was so long ago it was only half as effective as its competitors infringed. These factors make the circuit of a stranger – but the weakest, which is not really always win. At leastJust a couple of things.
When his dog-dog-esque wizard gambling and is named Ringo in the pool of candidates vying for a place in next round of the amateur tournament, Ringo and everyone else not think you have a chance (though not I know Ringo did, and 'was added). The "price" of the tournament is to combat the possibility of head to head with "pressure" is the flagship of the League and are the reigning champion. As I said, no one has the RingoAbility to pick up – but if he does, his career take a breath of fresh air. At the same time, collect Ringo relationship with his fiancee strip-club manager (starting at some point as a nurse) trained. The advantage of this report, opens his shoulder at his post, he had a real threat of competition, a fact that nobody expected.
Every game in this tournament offers a new obstacle left before Ringo led to success. Both "The Pressure" andRingo bookmaker, which is $ 20,000, are losing the draw for our hero. To achieve this, while some serious bank makes a bet that the fighting rig. Or at least try. The film is overwhelming message of fighting with honor and to see all the obstacles or move involved than anyone realizes what they are doing is wrong.
Visually, the film appears. The fight has turned very well and it looks incredibly sharp. The battle scenes do not have much to recommendthem, but there is a certain degree of creativity for more action-packed scenes that you do not expect straight. The acting and writing of incomparable leaves something 'to be desired. Echavarria is not terrible, but sometimes he gives us his lines very similar to Van Damme, with a rigid cardboard. Rafael coach Ringo feels like a grumpy Adrian from Rocky, but nothing is trivial to you WinCE, it is all smooth.
Blu-ray Bonus Features
The disc is quitewell equipped with extras. In addition to typical audio commentary with director Warren P. Sonoda, there are interviews with the fighters with Keith Jardine (who gives a decent performance), Rashad Evans, Griffin, and Nate Marquardt. The visual shock of the film is a fighter making-of piece and the choreography of the base and behind the scenes featurette events also.
Unsurpassed voice is surprisingly good in mixed martial arts movie catalog, so if you like the genreIt 's a great choice for you.
Solidly Average MMA Movie – Compay – New Orleans, LA
Unbeatable is what you expect from an action movie straight-to-video. The story is neither original nor exciting, the dialogue is weak, and the fight scenes are just enough for the film afloat.
The only thing that stands out for the film is directed by Warren Sonoda quality. Good film making, editing and lighting ideal for some decent images. The fight can not be distinguished choreagraphy. They usually are treated to stand-up punching a couple of kicks, and virtually no excavation until the end of the film. All struggles against Hard Rock, which works perfectly for a soundtrack in September
Hector Echavarria has a terrible job as acting aging Cage Fighter Ringo Duran. And not to forget 'strange to see a guy that a welterweight in the UFC is a spanking is too light heavyweight as Rashad Evans and Keith Jardine. Only three or four cast members have no real cinematic experience, even in Al Sapienza (Mikey Palmice 'sSopranos).
Conveniently Ringo Duran second job in a strip club, so there is a lot 'of nudity in the film. Jordan Madley is painfully hot as love interest Kara Ringo as Ashleigh Hubbard as poetry spouting Pole Dancer Pepper. But despite the heat and women cage matches, the film is predictable and yet not particularly exciting. Bring a rent before deciding to buy the DVD.

Blue Ray Movies :The Slammin’ Salmon [Blu-ray] Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 06th, 2010
I did not know what to expect when I saw this movie. This is a comedy in which Michael Clarke Duncan is the star in high turnover, but not on the cover. I knew it was a film with no star power, which is not a bad thing. That stupid chick flicks that stars like load on Valentine's Day movie, which I think are particularly good anyway.
Slammin Salmon is a restaurant with Duncan's character is a fighter. The performers each have their faults and none of whichreally all that attractive. Do not you hate it, but you feel kind of indifferent to the majority of votes.
This is not a plot driven film, like most of the comedy comes from a liner. There are good jokes, but there's nothing really memorable. I do not see this movie again. It was not a waste of time, but there is not much here to look at.
I would not try to go just to buy this movie if you're obsessed with Michael ClarkeDuncan or Broken Lizard comedy. Not worth a rental, there are better films out there dark. If this movie on TV, may require some laughter is good for you.
Overview
Slammin’ Cleon Salmon, the former Heavyweight Champion of the world, is a mean, crazy, and sometimes infantile bull of a man, who happens to owe ,000 to the head of the Japanese Yakuza and needs to come up with the money tonight. So he challenges the waiters in the restaurant that he owns, The Slammin’ Salmon, a high end, boxing themed seafood eatery in Miami, to sell more food than they’ve ever sold in their lives, with the top waiter earning ,000, the loser getting a broken rib sandwich. As the hours pass, the action becomes more chaotic as Cleon shows up to supervise the contest and changes the rules on a minute to minute basis.
Specifications
The Broken Lizard gang is back with The Slammin’ Salmon, a rowdy comedy that spends a night in a restaurant of the same name. Boxer Cleon Salmon (Michael Clarke Duncan, 1999 Academy Award nominee for The Green Mile) owns the swanky eatery and needs to raise fast cash to settle a gambling debt. He challenges his hapless crew to a contest to see who can up-sell the most in order to reach his goal of ,000 before closing time. Director Kevin Heffernan sets a rapid-fire pace loaded with pratfalls, spit takes, food fights, and bathroom humor. The Slammin’ Salmon brings together the usual Broken Lizard (Club Dread, Supertroopers, and Beerfest) regulars: Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske, Steve Lemme, Jay Chandrasekhar, and Heffernan (as the jittery manager). Cobie Smulders and April Bowlby round out the cast as frenzied waiters who’ll do anything to avoid a “broken-rib sandwich” from the intimidating Salmon. Saturday Night Live‘s Will Forte plays a table-hogging, water-sipping lone diner who leaves a surprise tip. Vivica A. Fox and Morgan Fairchild make awkward cameos. The one-liners and sight gags can wear thin after an hour, but die-hard Broken Lizard film fans know what they’re in for when they watch a Heffernan romp, and The Slammin’ Salmon won’t disappoint. –Francine Ruley

not up to their original standard – guitarchick24 – USA
The Slammin 'Salmon is an attempt at a bit' funny, the comedy of everyday life to document in a restaurant. The film highlights Slammin 'Salmon of Cleon groped to pay gambling debts with a night of sales at his restaurant, all while seemingly incompetent staff are constantly sabotaged its own processes and others. Employees of the restaurant are promised a great reward if they are the top-selling salmon ever to its goal of $ 20,000 in sales. The night is done with crazy anticswild and tries to force patrons to more money for the positions of dollars. Each employee tries to one in another. Unfortunately, the comedy film lacks consistent and leaves the viewer with relatively few moments of laughter. The creators of Super Troopers is not really offer a solid performance in this film. I am happy not to eat there!
Weakest Broken Lizard film so far. – Amazon Reviewer – MN USA
I am a big fan of Broken Lizard. Both Beerfest and Super Troopers are really great comedies. Have you seen all his films, I had very high hopes for this film, but was rather disappointed. Duncan was fantastic, and there were some funny moments, but consider this film the weakest by far. The Slammin 'Salmon looks stunning, has increased the pace after 30 minutes, but much the same way I felt Club Dread fell, this film simply does not provide enough that evenLevel. Are you a fan of his films, see the value of BL, only to be careful that this is not near the bar are very high with Super Troopers and Beerfest in September
Well done zany humor – J. M WILINSKY – teaneck, NJ United States
We have seen many of these comic actor in films like Beerfest and lead standards here. For those of us crazy, outrageously appreciate the humor, this movie should not disappoint. The only fault I find with the film, is a lack of diversity in the situation. The entire film is set in the restaurant. This is a bit 'limited, but they are doing just great, what they have. There are also lots of extras like a featurette and two comments added.

Blue Ray Movies :Out of Africa: 25th Anniversary (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 06th, 2010
What can I add, when it comes to this movie? This is my third copy, as I bought it on VHS, DVD and now Blu-Ray. The picture is clear and the sound is great.
Overview
Winner of 7 Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, Out of Africa is a cinematic masterpiece filled with breathtaking passion and majestic imagery. Robert Redford and Meryl Streep star in the fascinating true story of a woman who travels to Kenya to be with her cold husband and falls in love with a mysterious adventurer. Directed by Sydney Pollack, this epic tale of love, loss and self-discovery amid the stunning vistas of the African continent is an unparalleled filmmaking achievement.
Specifications
Sydney Pollack’s 1985 multiple-Oscar winner is a sumptuous and emotionally satisfying film about the life of Danish writer Karen Blixen (Meryl Streep), better known as Isak Dinesen, who travels to Kenya to be with her German husband (Klaus Maria Brandauer) but falls for an English adventurer (Robert Redford). The film is slow in developing the relationship, but it is rich in beautiful images of Africa and in the romantic tone surrounding Blixen’s gradual discovery of her life and voice. One downside: while we may all love Redford, he is as convincingly British as Kevin Costner is in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. –Tom Keogh

Poor Clarity – Wade H. Howard –
Blue-ray/DVD of this measure is not any hype 25rh Anniversary. Film is clearly inconsistent: Some close-up scenes are colorful and traits are difficult to discern. And there are more than a few episodes of the film, where the car is washed out.
I watched the DVD side of the double-CD and whether the poor quality is based on Blue-ray/DVD piggyback registration.
Unfortunately, I have my original version of "Out of Africa", which I believea video is better all around.
THE BLU RAY… – J. M. Ray –
Blu Ray, which is not as high as the film, the lack of definition and color quality is by far not without criticism, disappointed!
Image Quality: 10.06, 07.10 Audio
Phony Blu-Ray – J. Egan – Fulton, NY USA
While the film will always be a classic, others aspire to the alleged computer simulation Blu-Ray is not worth. Obviously you think that if we turn to the contrast 'high', you can use it as a "sell Blu-Ray and charge $ (n) more. C'mon – how many corners of the glow of mud brick buildings in real life? How many animals eyes light up as you drive by during the day? (Just two examples).
Film is great, but the Blu-ray "- get a total of up to $ rip off.

Blue Ray Movies :The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 05th, 2010
I firmly believe that in 1000 years, this film is still considered an example of the most beautiful works of art of American cinema ever to be played. It 'an extraordinary story, Daniel LaRussa is probably one of the most beautiful children once played on the screen. This film has so many variables to it, it is difficult to explain. The setting and characters in the film are complex and wonderful. For a child who grew up in the Midwest, this movie showed me what I thought was California. I really thought all childrenCalifornia beach KicKing balloons hung around the fire and riding dirt bikes.
The story is great, almost every male child can identify with the theme of this film at some point in their life, how to deal with offenders who are physically violent for no reason. Now let me tell you how good and Johnny were the Cobra Kais, leading to psychotic master of karate, "Johnny krees astray." Now a subject little discussed in the Karate Kid, "What makes krees tick?" II think I have an answer and since my glowing review probably like all the other 150 5 star reviews I'm still talking about a complex character in the film, who will play misunderstood.
Krees I think John was sent to Vietnam young, idealistic young man was and had pity on the people. When he first saw combat, has had the opportunity to finish off a wounded enemy soldiers, but showed mercy and allowed to live man, the man suffered a hand grenadeand killed his best friend John. He realized that his weakness was his friend were killed, this made him angry and tortured by guilt, then came to a conclusion, I must kill the enemy, or he will kill me. This is where it came to "krees grace is for the weak." When John came home from the war he learned Karate while a student was taught that karate is for self-defense. John has never changed the philosophy of karate, he knew only practical experience shooting a sniperbefore he shoots you had the best defense. This is the basis of the Cobra Kai, the best defense is attack and strong punishment. John loved his Cobra Kais, and that's why it was so hard on them, her father wanted for him was harder than his younger, who had not grown so fast that fateful day in Vietnam. If you see Karate Kid, do not judge, because some krees brutal man, the enjoyment out of watching you 15 year old boy beaten to understand, receive, even if itsIntentions and actions may seem absurd, his heart is that of patriot. Do you really think the beat Daniel takes to make him a strong man at the end of this film is proof that krees, although presented as a villain, in fact, the motivation behind the film. Ultimately and indirectly krees Daniel sees with friendship and confidence, which otherwise would not have happened.
Overview
A fatherless teenager faces his moment of truth in The Karate Kid. Daniel (Ralph Macchio) arrives in Los Angeles from the east coast and faces the difficult task of making new friends. However, he becomes the object of bullying by the Cobras, a menacing gang of karate students, when he strikes up a relationship with Ali (Elisabeth Shue), the Cobra leader’s ex-girlfriend. Eager to fight back and impress his new girlfriend but afraid to confront the dangerous gang, Daniel asks his handyman Miyagi (Noriyuki ‘Pat’ Morita), whom he learns is a master of the martial arts, to teach him karate. Miyagi teaches Daniel that karate is a mastery over the self, mind, and body and that fighting is always the last answer to a problem. Under Miyagi’s guidance, Daniel develops not only physical skills but also the faith and self-confidence to compete despite tremendous odds as he encounters the fight of his life in the exciting finale to this entertaining film.
Specifications
John G. Avildsen not only directed Rocky, he tried remaking it over the years in a dozen different ways. One of them was this popular 1984 drama about a new kid (Ralph Macchio) in town targeted by karate-wielding bullies until he gets a new mentor: the handyman (Pat Morita) from his apartment building, who teaches him self-confidence and fighting skills. The screen partnership of Macchio’s motor-mouth character and Morita’s reserved father figure works well, and the script allows for the younger man to develop sympathy for the painful memories of his teacher. But the film’s real engine, as with Rocky, is the fighting, and there’s plenty of that. Elisabeth Shue is on board as the girl the klutzy Macchio dreams of winning. –Tom Keogh

One of the best 80′s flicks ever… now on HD via Blu Ray! – Vic W. Li – Portland, OR USA
Who grew up in the 80s loved this movie. Citations to a row, people still use til this day. Most of his series. If you do not like part 2, 3 or 4 so much. The film still has rules, even today, although there are some bad Cheezy lines.
Great movie – terrible picture quality – Dan – Redmond, WA USA
I assume everyone is already familiar enough with the plot, so I will focus my review on the quality of Blu-Ray transfer.
Unfortunately, I was totally indifferent. The picture completely devoid of depth and detail. In just the first scene, when Daniel and his mother in California, start driving, the car looks like a brown stain in the distance. Later in the tournament scenes, the faces in the crowd were blurred, the main characters on the screen and lacked detail.Even at best, with a closeup on a single character, had virtually no detail. I expected to be able to do skin pores, single strands of hair / stubble, etc., but it seemed a poor DVD. I also expected to see bright colors on the beach, playing football in high school and the tournament, but it seemed all washed. The night scene on the beach was one of the few dark scenes. The picture was very grainy, but not as bad as I was on the dreadedMovies so far. Certainly not expected Inky black, but not great macro block as I do.
This Blu-Ray has a new feature called Blu-Pop, which is similar to Pop Up Video on the way back to VH1. At various points in the film, and trivia tidbits (sensei means master in Japanese) or behind the scenes commentary by Ralph Macchio one or Žabka William (Johnny Lawrence) would pop up. It 'was interesting, but it's frustrating that there was no way towhen she shut it down. Unlike any other Blu-Ray is mine, is the menu button for Karate Kid disabled so you can not activate the on / off at will. I had to beat again and again the next chapter button on my remote to get to the end and start up without Blu-Pop.
I see that some people are sorry for the poor quality of the images, saying that the film is about 25 years. This is a fair point, but I want to encourage people to look at the fat on Blu-ray to compare. The fat is about 8 years older and looks absolutely fantastic – just like any modern version, but with some soft scenes here and there. And 'possible to make a decent transfer with an old movie. My guess is that simply scaling the digitized version of DVD called him one day and went back to the original movie and retransfer in HD. I have no knowledge about the process they used, so this is just my guess.
Overall a very disappointing experience. If youNetflix has, I would recommend streaming from there. Just Blu-Ray does not improve picture quality.
Worth the wait for Blu Ray – A. Chin –
I loved this movie, since the first time that a child in the 80s. However, I had to add my personal collection of films, because the DVD did not offer instead of 5.1. WTH? So when I saw the Blu Ray for sale (and DTS), I jumped at the chance.
BR Video quality is quite good. Not as good as The Transformers (Megan Fox said in HD! But that's another post …), but pretty good for a film of 25 years. The colors and sharpness are very good(Again, not as good as the movie recently). During the scene where Daniel catches a fly with chopsticks, I see the fishing line is holding the fly. I'm not sure if the DVD visible or not, because I do not possess, but something that I tried looking at the BR disc.
As mentioned, the movie has DTS 5.1 audio, which sounds really great. While this is not an action movie that has explosions, car chases, etc., which really shows the best 5.1 surround sound, the '5.1 audio track really add to the experience movie and give it a fuller sound. Watching Daniel go through all the Cobra Kai in the tournament (on a 4.0 scale Vengeance Bill Simmons), with "You're the best!" Song played in 5.1 is impressive.
As for extras, there is a special "Pop Blue, where you can film with commentary by Ralph Macchio and Billy Žabka curiosity and some pop-up clock. It offers some interesting information about the film, the characters (you can listenŽabka explain Martin Kove krees sight Žabka is throughout this great feature), shooting, etc.
Overall, I loved the BR disc and am glad that discouraged me from buying the DVD. Although I have this movie over 187 times (thanks to HBO and Encore, and a VHS copy of a child, I must have seen must have worn), # 188 is a display as good as all but # 1

Blue Ray Movies :10. 5 Apocalypse/Category 7: The End of the World [Blu-ray] Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 05th, 2010
I'm at the end of December 2009 on Amazon.France bought a BluRay player. I did not know if it was free zone for the BluRay discs. What I'm sure the DVD is not region-free. Ordering on Amazon.com bluray these two couples, I have a cheap demo for my new HDTV purchase and BluRay players. I was almost certain that these two mini-series is not great art, but do not worry. The first is my player can read both, and I am very happy when I see on the screen, the FBICouncil! I must confess, I do not understand all the threads in the movies because there are no subtitles, and English for deaf people, which is very useful for foreigners (like BluRay "The Ten Commandments" is very easy to understand). But what is very important in this kind of film are the CGI effects, the actors say and then? And my wife, who does not understand English, like we have not seen these two films in France to see. What images BluRay, in my opinion isCategory 7, which is better than Apocalypse 10.5. My only regret is that this film begins with the destruction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, so my wife and I can not return to the second story restaurant (Jules Verne), one of the best in the world! I also regret that in both films, Mount Rushmore, we saw in our travels in the United States, is destroyed. It 's a shame for the tourism industry of South Dakota (population of North Dakota does not regret it I think) My conclusionis that this moderate price, if you like this kind of film you will not lose a lot of learning through the purchase of this double disc BluRay, and you, too many days, the existence of FEMA, I have never heard before. A if you learned something can be good compensation for the small amount of money he has given to Hallmark. But people from Hallmark, next time try to get at least the English subtitles! Amazon.com, thank you for the demo bluray and time spent in front of the TV screen from both.

disasters!! – D. Payne – Wappingers Falls, NY
If you saw the 10.5 Film and asked what has happened, then this is the set for you. You are not only able, with the original film, always the same characters, but also destruction. Category 7 is also good, a small stretch of the imagination, but still nice to see that the "destructive" spirits are. I know there are lots of cases of natural disaster, but none of them live on them. that there is a possible solution to the problemfascinating, and both make you sit and look around to see when we do something to avoid at all these things.
A decent pair of sequels – Paul Hite – Ashburn, Va USA
These films are available as individual Blu-Ray. This package is a single Blu-Ray on both discs. I read the other posts on each page and on this page before writing mine. On each side for 10.5 Apocalypse, there are some comments on it is not complete. That was my initial impression, until I realized what was happening. The film, the original 10.5 and 10.5 Apocalyse sequence. Education successor is available. Category 7: The End ofWorld is also a sequel to Day of Destruction Category 6. The two original films on DVD at Amazon are double-feature. Link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LC3IOM But the originals are not yet on Blu-Ray. I bought the original DVD and a contribution from them.
10.5 Apocalypse in my opinion is the stronger of the two. Originally a two-part mini-series on NBC. But it only takes a few minutes after the original (which was also a two-Mini-series) and many of the same characters. There is no attempt to re-introduce us to characters and if I do not remember, was the first film, as there seems to be missing something. This is not a sequel can stand alone. But they see in order to obtain a continuous four-part mini-series. In view of the second film, which makes this Blu-Ray, the strong voices and good CGI effects, the film is. The story includes goofy science … even worse than its predecessor. 10.5Apocalyse is in widescreen (the original not 10.0).
Category 7: The End of the world was a two-part mini-series on CBS. This is a sequel that can stand on their own feet. They are not lost if you forget to Category 6 Day of Destruction can be. The main plot involves a number of science is getting worse. And 'Attack of the Crab Monsters appear in comparison to scholars. But the focus is on sub-plots and there are so many of them Everbody can find something. It 's also the reason whygets up at different surveys, each time you follow a different scheme. I've seen it twice and still do not know what's going on with these poisonous frogs … maybe I'll find on display the number three. Or maybe not.
Seriously, I've seen both movies several times and I probably watch again. And this is my definition of a movie three stars.
10.5 Apocalypse / Category 7: The end of the world – Estelle Carson – lakewood, co usa
I have this as a gift since I was two separate films with the same name. Both HAV big special effects movies and are very realistic. I enjoyed so much.

Blue Ray Movies :Never Say Never Again (2pc) (W/Dvd) (Ws) [Blu-ray] Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 04th, 2010
I made this movie as a gift for someone who loves James Bond movies. He likes the movie, and I enjoyed it too. Sometimes it's funny, because the action and, of course, Sean Connery ago (though he is a bit 'larger). Overall, good buy, especially if you look at large collections to buy, because this is the James Bond film, only the elderly, which is not included in the collections of DVDs.
Overview
After years of enduring Roger Moore in the role of James Bond, it was good to have Sean Connery back in this 1983 film for a one-time-only trip down 007′s memory lane. Connery’s Bond, a bit of a dinosaur in the British secret service at (then) 52, is still in demand during times of crisis. Sadly, the film is not very good. In this rehash of Thunderball, Bond is pitted against a worthy underwater villain (Klaus Maria Brandauer); and while the requisite Bond Girls include beauties Kim Basinger and Barbara Carrera, they can’t save the movie. The script has several truly dumb passages, among them a (gasp) video-game duel between 007 and his nemesis that now looks utterly anachronistic. For Connery fans, however, this widescreen print of the Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back) film is a chance to say a final goodbye to a perfect marriage of actor and character. –Tom Keogh

Blue Ray Movies :Poltergeist (Blu-ray Book) Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 04th, 2010
While living an average family house in a pleasant neighborhood, the youngest daughter of the Freeling family, Carol Anne, appears with the supernatural through a dead channel connected to the TV. It is not long when the mysterious beings enter the house walls. At first it seemed like harmless ghosts, they play tricks and amuse the family, but take a wrong turn, they get scared, the family to death with angry trees and murderous dolls, and finally abduct Carol Anne into herBedroom closet, which seems beside the entrance.
Poltergeist is very real horror-thriller. Pulls you in subtle mind as the girl in the white noise of the TV sucked portal. The characters are believable and suspenseful Stone Cold hits you like a boxer the right jab in the face. Poltergeist is probably one of the most influential films of his generation supernatural. Poltergeist rules shake rattle and yourSoul.
- ?Theyre here,? – seeming almost whimsical at first, playing stack-the- chair games in the Freelings kitchen. Then things turn darker. A storm erupts, a tree attacks and little Carol Anne Freeling is whisked into a spectral void. As her family confronts horrors galore and fights to bring the youngster back, something else is here too: a new benchmark in Hollywood ghost stories. Producers Steven Spi
Overview
Warner Brothers Poltergeist (25th Anniversary Edition) (Blu-ray)What a combo! Tobe Hooper, the director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, teamed up with family-oriented producer Steven Spielberg to make Poltergeist. The film is about a haunted suburban tract home in a development very much like the Arizona one inwhich Spielberg was raised. (Because it came out the same summer as Spielberg’s E.T., it was tempting to see both movies as representing Spielberg’s ambivalent feelings about childhood in suburbia. One was a fantasy, the other a nightmare.) Spielberg also cowrote the screenplay, which taps into primal, childlike fears of monsters under the bed, monsters in the closet, sinister clown faces, and all manner of things that go bump in the night. At first, some of the odd happenings in the house are kind of funny and amusing, but they grow graduallycreepier until the film climaxes in a terrifying special-effects extravaganza when 5-year-old Carole Anne (Heather O’Rourke) is kidnapped by the spooks and held hostage in another dimension. Though not nearly as frightening as Hooper’s magnum opus, or the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, which came along two years later, Poltergeist is one of the smartest and most entertaining horror pictures of its time.

ONE OF THE GREATEST HORROR FILMS EVER MADE – Mike Braighfield – 2000 ft below the surface
This is definitely one of the greatest horror movies of all time. It has great acting, directing, writing and great special effects impressive. A must for any fan of horror. Highly recommended.
They’re Here – Joseph Adams – Superior, WI USA
Not even Spielberg and Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre FAME) may lead above the level of mediority. Presented as a horror film szcariest 80s, has not stood the test of time and fear-factor. I would not recommend, but horror fans anyione casual.
Love the movie but… – N. F. Lewis –
… The alleged new DVD did not work. I had the worst luck with Amazon and its suppliers. CD paid useless, wrong, CD wrong and unnecessary, for fast and got a standard delivery, and then this. Should I go for my other media.

Blue Ray Movies :Road House DVD + Blu-ray Combo Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 03rd, 2010
"Road House" is a typical exploitation film, but in the decades that followed, became a cult fave. It takes the usual clichés of a seedy bar with the nature of the evidence, David Allan Coe sang in "Longhaired Redneck." But what raises this above other exploitation flick is that it is typical of a narrow production is full of large rolls.
Patrick Swayze (Dalton) is perfect for the cooler Zen, which to be engaged in managing the bouncer at the Double Deuce House.Kelly Lynch plays his love interest, and Ben Gazzara as a sadistic thug who runs the city. Rounding out the cast will be playing Sam Elliott as a mentor of Dalton and sadly missed Jeff Healey and his band as the house band in Roadhouse.
This film is very funny, I was discovered. I saw this on the shelf taking countless times to buy. But then again, is a film that does not make serious and is only comfortable for theCheese is. It 's the kind of film, like a time capsule for the late '80s with its excesses (auto-tape recorder, as the precious works held in Dalton, Date Movie). The only thing I liked was how the Double Deuce 'has been integrated, a dip in a sporty touch to the 80 years of bouncers polo shirts, Neon and mall-style architecture trim.
The acting and production stick together. I am fully aware of how the plot could haveomitted. But then this movie is all about corn and Butt-kicking … that is, until the shiny Deuce. The action and battles are good and fits over-the-top for this material.
The standout in this film is Jeff Healey, a musician with incredible musical talent for the blues. He and his band is the other reason why I will be right. Healey died in 2008 because of cancer, was the sight at the age of one year. It 'nice to watch him play and act. He, like theRest of the cast clearly had a lot of fun making this film. Even the credits sequence of play is concentrated on shooting Healey and his band.
Tis DVD is a huge improvement over the previous year, MGM / UA 'Flipper to publish. "The original film IFS anamorphic 2.35:1 aspect ratio in its presentation. The digital transmission is much stronger and healthier and better of the highlights of score, Michael Kamen, and Jeff Healey (there's a good 5.1 "play" in battle scenes in the Club House Roadthat capture the atmosphere of beautiful).
But the real reason I bought this was for Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier commentary track's audio. Smith and Mosier were not involved in the production of "Road House". But this dynamic duo spoke of "Road House" during the intro of "Clerks – The First Cut", present in Clerks (10th Anniversary Three-Disc Collector's Edition) DVD. Someone listened and gave the couple the ability to record audio commentary for "Road House". Your commenttrue not only for their admiration of the film and Ben Gazzara (as his admiration for the admiration PTAnderson Phillip Baker Hall), but for fun, as the legend of Dalton, who had cracked many times. There is also talk plenty of male nudity in the film, while also parallel to this film, and Western Europe. This song is worth listening to audio commentary and helps add some depth a good movie very funny.
Other features include a commentary trackRowdy Herrington a featurette for the Sequel to prevent his thinking ("Road House 2: Special Edition) and interviews with real doors (" What Would Dalton Do) and a trivia subtitle track.
This is a good movie: a great pleasure that are cheap by buying a business. There is a DVD saw the value and feel. It 'was an impulse buy beautiful and worth watching just to smear Patrick Swayze Kick Butt, Jeff Healey and his band play and listen and SmithMosier talk about the film. This film gave me a reason to revise and discover new music Healey. I strongly recommend this DVD.

One of those movies that helped usher out the era of action films that had plots that made any sense (and also helped reverse the direction of Patrick Swayze’s career arc), Road House concerns a handsome, existential bouncer in a rinky-dink honky-tonk who owns both a degree in philosophy and a Mercedes. And that’s perhaps the most believable aspect of the whole movie. Swayze stars as Dalton, “the best bouncer in the business,” who runs afoul of Wesley (Ben Gazzara), the meanest SOB round these parts, by taking up with his former girlfriend, Doc (Kelly Lynch)–the only woman in town with an IQ approaching double digits, even if she had unfathomably hooked up with such a lowlife. Swayze had complained about being typecast as beefcake when this was made, but that didn’t stop him from revealing as much skin as possible–even guys like him, as revealed in a luridly seedy scene in which one of Wesley’s goons tells Dalton that he reminds him of the kind of boyfriend he had in prison (albeit in much saltier terms). It’s so insulting to its audience that it’s nice to be able to turn the tables and laugh at the filmmakers. –David Kronke

Movie with attitude – Anssi Räisänen –
I like this film for its atmosphere and attitude. This is especially at night, there's a bar fight or another type of fight, every 15 minutes or more often. Others burned illegal abundance (with houses and cars, etc.), sex, alcohol and the smell of violence are ubiquitous. And 'own world, never a policeman in sight, and the band house, always contribute to the achievement no matter how large bar is a struggle around them, and surprisingly intense atmosphere – feel the heatSummer Saturday night – Pull into something mythical America here (in a modern Western style), at least for a European observer like me. Certainly, there is a child of his time, but you should take them to appreciate in particular.
Road House – G. Carver – Gainesville, Texas USA
Road House is another of my favorite films Patrick Swayze. Not suitable for children to see, and I wish they would have done without the unwanted, but a good film.

Blue Ray Movies :HDNet World Report – Shuttle Discovery’s Historic Mission [Blu-ray] Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 02nd, 2010
This CD offers a glimpse of the Space Shuttle Discovery HD, even if only some of the most interesting pictures are not shot in HD. Most of the pre-flight interviews are in HD, while most of the current mission is in standard definition. I bought this BD expects incredible images of the earth and the shuttle in orbit, but can not be found here. The same function is encoded in MPEG-2, during the beautiful and very detailed, suffer from blemishes associated with the codec. Thelatest AVC / MPEG 4 codec would be a better choice. Check out Casino Royale for quality. A good buy if you're like NASA, with related documentary. A crush, if your looking for a beautiful view HD-orbital.

Blue Ray Movies :Never Say Never Again (2pc) (W/Dvd) (Ws) [Blu-ray] Review
Posted by Blu Ray Movies Review on June 02nd, 2010Overview
–Tom Keogh
